Pet Solutions to Oral Care
Crisis Among Pets

At a veterinarian conference in Orlando, Florida, Greg McWatt, D.V.M., asked 400 fellow veterinarians if they regularly brushed their own pets' teeth. Only four said they did. With such dismal statistics, it's no wonder oral disease is the No. 1 health problem among dogs and cats over age three, afflicting up to 80 percent of these pets in North America. Read more.

"cont'd...It's a huge issue that can cause serious health problems, major discomfort and behavioral changes in your pet," says Dr. McWatt, from Midhurst, Ontario, Canada. Periodontal disease is a serious deterioration of the gums and supporting bones of the teeth. Left unchecked, the bacteria that cause this disease can enter the bloodstream, causing infection to vital organs. Research indicates that proper oral health may extend the life of your pet by two to five years!

Oral disease in pets is largely preventable - and that's where Oxyfresh comes in. February is National Pet Dental Health Month, and an excellent time to promote and use Oxyfresh's exceptional pet products. Veterinarians agree the primary reason so many pets suffer from oral disease is because their owners don't provide basic dental care.

Imagine what your own teeth would look like if you never brushed. For pet owners who don't have the time (or the patience) to brush their pets' teeth, Oxyfresh has a solution: Pet Oral Hygiene Solution.

This remarkable product contains a safe, proprietary ingredient that fights bad breath and, more importantly, breaks down bacteria in the mouth that leads to gingivitis and periodontal disease. Brushing is still best, Dr. McWatt says, but Oral Hygiene Solution will fight odors and the potentially harmful bacteria that can enter the bloodstream and infect the heart, liver and kidneys.

In Harker Heights, Texas, veterinarian Jeff Jones is a huge fan of Oxyfresh pet products, which make up an important part of his practice. "When the Pet Oral Hygiene Solution came out, I had all my employees do a dental exam on their pets and describe what they saw," Dr. Jones says. "They used the product for 30 days and then did another exam. Every one of them noticed an improvement!"

At his Texas clinic, Dr. Jones promotes Pet Dental Month by displaying a huge banner and offering a $25 discount on dental services. "We take advantage of national awareness," Dr. Jones says, "but we emphasize dental care all year and always have a bottle of Oral Hygiene Solution included in our dental estimates. When clients see what it does for their pets, they come back for more - we even sell a few gallons."

"Pet owners can save hundreds of dollars and spare their pets from uncomfortable oral procedures simply by using Oxyfresh products," he says. "I introduced Oxyfresh to a colleague whose cat had serious problems and needed a cleaning every six months. After using the Oral Hygiene Solution, cleanings scaled back to every three years."

He adds: "All my clients get Oral Hygiene Solution. It's hard to keep in stock."
