It's me, your loyal companion, best friend and secret admirer, your little dog. Can I ask you a question? It's really important. Remember when you first got me? It was an exciting time, wasn't it? So much to learn together! We've had a lot of fun so far, and I love being with you. We play games, go for walks and I love it when you tell me your secrets. You call me so many good nicknames, and I'm really smart too, 'cuz I know them all. My favorite part is when we snuggle together - it feels terrific and you smell really good! So here's the question: Could you please take me along when you leave the house? I really can't figure out why I have to stay home every time you leave. Especially when you go on a vacation. It makes both of us sad. I miss you when you're gone and I worry. It's only fun for a little while to be with other dogs and strange people in that place you call "Day Care" or "The Kennel". I get really lonely and I remember when you said you wanted to take me everywhere, because I'm a smart, inquisitive little dog and I should be with you. So why can't I just be with you all the time? |
