Can this precious little puppy really turn into a barking Golden? YES, IT WILL, I know, First Hand
- From Daniel Stevens SitStayFetch
“I have a friend who points his TV remote at his Golden Retriever every time it starts barking, with the hope that he can turn down the dog’s volume. My friend spends a lot of time on the couch. His dog spends a lot of time barking.”
Hmmm, for some reason, Goldens are just so very mouthy dogs, in a wonderfully nice way, of course
However, our neighbours may NOT feel the same wonder at our Golden. So, we do need to keep their barking in control.
Day 3 of your free eCourse will show you how to stop your dog’s barking problem. Just sign up, for free, (at the top of the page) and have better behaved dogs. AND, your neighbours will be very happy about that too.

My old Dog Dukie (14) and Nikki, the night before I had to have him put to sleep. Read “his poem” here!
Yesterday I was at the hairdresser and we got to talking about dogs (is there anything else to talk to a stranger about
?
She told me such a sad and incredible heartless story!
A friend of hers had a dog. This dog aged, like the rest of us do also. And, in it’s old age she did not want to spend an money on it, this dog was having some health issues.
So, this faithful dog she has had for close to 13 years, what does she do? She actually gives it to a rescue group.
She did not want to spend money on the dog’s health issues, or on putting it down, so she dropped it off at a rescue group.
It’s NOT that she couldn’t afford it, she did noto s want tpend it on the dog.
I mean, how absolutely heartless is this? I try not to think how this poor dog feels. Going from having an owner and a home to a rescue group.
Please everyone, a dog should be for life, that is, for the life of the dog!

For so many of us, summer arrives not a moment too soon. After a long, dreary winter, we have looked forward to the rewards and relaxation associated with the warm summer months. Perhaps we have planned a vacation near a lake, river or the ocean. Perhaps we are planning on swimming, hiking, boating and bicycling or perhaps just sprucing up the backyard or catching up on our reading under a shady tree. More than likely, we are planning a lot of outdoor activities and entertaining. We may also be planning to engage in activities involving our animal companions. After all, summer is a wonderful time to spend increased quality playtime and exercise time with our pets. However, it is also a time when we need to be aware of some unique potential hazards to our pet’s safety and well-being.

I am still learning about my adopted dog, Shorty. This is our first summer together. My other black lab, Sammy, used to love the hose. As soon as the hose came out, he started “attacking” the water.
All my black labs have been male, so I have the hardest time calling my Shorty “She”.
Shorty takes it a step further, she “attacks” the water coming out of the sprinkler. She was soaken wet! O well, she had fun.

I know a lot of people complain about the tear stains on their otherwise beautiful looking dogs. I came across this site, and want to share it with you. (ps I do not get any $ for promoting this, I just wanted to point it out to you)
ABOUT TEAR STAINS – All of our ingredients are products of the USA.
Many people wonder why some dogs and cats eyes water, which causes a stain on the fur just below their eyes. This condition is called epiphora. When the facial hair is wet from excess tearing it is the breeding ground for bacteria and yeast. Not only is it unsightly but may be very irritating to your pet. The staining may also emit a moderate to noticeably strong odor.
Up until now these reddish brown stains due to tear pigments were hard to eliminate completely. Read the whole article here!
