Do you have a fat dog? OR:  Is your dog getting fat? I see so many obese dogs and I feel so sorry for them. They are uncomfortable, can’t breathe right, they pant, they cannot do “doggie things” anymore…

I have 2 dogs, and I try really really hard to NOT overfeed them.  I mean, like, 10 minutes after they eat they look at me with their sad little eyes.  But, I love my dogs, so I don’t give in.  Sometimes, when  I go into the kitchen, there they are….but, I don’t give in.

BECAUSE I LOVE THEM.  I know it’s hard, it’s really hard when those eyes just look at you, begging for food.

I try to take my dogs out for 2 X 1/2 hour walks, once in the morning, and once at night.  I know it’s hard, but dog’s are not stuffed animals to lay around and ignore.

Take your dogs, take your kids and go for walks.  You will all love it!  Really….  And nutrition, let’s talk about that. There are so many horrible ingredients in dog food, and sometimes I’m thinking you have to be a spet to decipher them all.

I have been on an exercise program especially for my diabetes; I walk after every meal, and I take my dogs with me. This has benefited us both tremendously. And, it really is enjoyable.
