Singing Dogs And Playing Music
03 Mar 2009

I play the organ in my church and I also do some accompanying work. I love the Saxophone, and a few years ago decided to take it up and learn it.
My teacher actually said I got very good tones out of it. The problem? Well, my two black labs at the time also loved the Sax and decided to accompany me whenever I practiced.
They started from a very deep rumble to a full out and out howl. At first I thought the Sax bothered them, but, one of my black labs actually lied down while he accompanied me
Too much, so, I had to give up the Sax.
I tried the oboe, another instrument I would love to know how to play…but, same thing. Then my friend came over with her clarinet…same thing.
So I am thinking it’s gotta be the reed instruments doing it.
Now I am into non reed instruments. Anyone else have the same problem?
