The Rules Are The Same, No Matter What Size

I am going to vent once again. I don’t know why so many small dog owners allow their little terrors to run off leash.
For some reason many small-dog owners think it is funny and cute when their little “terrorists” run loose and challenge other leashed dogs, or generally run circles around other leashed dogs barking their little heads off.
People, if you are guilty of this, it’s not funny and it’s not safe! And mostly, it’s not even fair. If your dog would be big, it would not be acceptable. There is no reason it is acceptable because your dog is little.
Your little run-around-dog is bringing an energy of excitement and tenseness and it passes these on to the leashed dogs.
Please, if your dog does not obey the recall, if your dog chases other dogs, keep it on the leash. Better yet, do some “socializing training” with your dog. No one likes unruly mouthy dogs that get in the face of leashed dogs.
Try watching some of Cesar Millan’s Dog Whisperer Shows!
ps, I was walking through a park today, and as I said, if a dog behaves, and obeys the recall I don’t mind them being loose. But, today, this little dog came running up to my 2 leashed dogs, creating havoc. It’s not fair, we all need to play by the same rules.
