Just like in people, overweight and obesity are the biggest health concerns of our pets. And, just like people, the health risks for obese pets increase steadily.
Other then the obvious, how can you tell your pet is obese? Feel their ribs. You should feel your pets ribs, with only a little fat covering them. If you can’t feel them, there is a problem, but, if you can see them, your pet may be too thin.
The area over your dog’s tail, you should be able to feel the bone.
