I just read this and I have a strong urge to share this with you! It is imperative that you read this and then act on it!
A family dog bit their child in the face when the child hugged their dog. The dog was put down.
On autopsy, it was discovered that the dog had two severe ear infections. The dog simply reacted to extreme pain when the child hugged it.
This article is about ear infections…but it could also include tooth infections and tooth aches.
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF YOUR DOGS/CATS HEALTH CONDITION WHERE IT CONCERNS THE EARS AND TEETH. THESE CAN BECOME SO PAINFUL THAT A PET WILL LASH OUT WHEN TOUCHED – NOT OUT OF AGGRESSION, BUT BECAUSE HIS INTENSE PAIN MAKES IT AN AUTOMATIC REACTION.

I was so happy that spring had sprung this week. It was so nice and warm, but we are back to single digits again. Bummer! Anyways, I guess spring is still here to stay, so, let’s talk about spring training.
These are my recommendations to help get you ready for spring training!
Now is the time to get your dog in shape for those times you want to go out for walks, you want to take your dog swimming, or, you generally socialize your dog.
You want a well behaved dog. Many people use treats to train. If you do this, think carefully what treats you use. You do not want to have a well behaved fat dog. You want a well behaved healthy dog.
First, try this In-Home training system: http://www.experts-at.com/Sit-Stay.html
And, check here for some awesome training equipment. They have a great all weather “harness” for your dog. This harness is guaranteed to be safe, comfortable and effective!
And check here for some healthy, lean training cookies:

Why Do Dogs Drag Their Butts?
This is a regular question for dog owners. When dogs drag their butts on the carpet or outside on the grass, it means that their anal glands are bothering them. The anal sacks are located just inside the dog’s rectum.
They are there to “mark” the dog’s territory with his own special scent. But, when the anal glands are too full, dogs will try to empty them by dragging his/her bottom. Unless dogs drain their anal glands, it causes them pressure and pain.
Your veterinarian should include emptying his anal glands during yearly check up. In fact, veterinarians can show you how to do this yourself. It’s really easy and will be a great relief to your dog. And remember, always check any issues with your vet first!
