A Doggy Christmas Poem

A doggy friend of mine sent me this. In turn, I am sharing this with you.

O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
How come we cannot
Pee on Thee
We water you out in the yard
But when inside
Mom goes retard
O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
How come we cannot
Pee on Thee

O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
What happiness you inspire in me
When oft at
joyous Christmas-time
Your call to me to
Water thy.
O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
What happiness you inspire in me

O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
Your boughs can
Smell so sweet to me
That constant pull
It says to me,
Just be a dog and
Pee on me
O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree,
Your boughs get me in a whole lotta trouble

My Nikki In Mourning

About a month ago we had to put our beloved Benny to sleep. Benny and my Nikki did everything together…sleep, walk, visiting the elderly (they were both registered therapy dogs).

My Nikki and Dukie

After Benny was gone, my Nikki had a very difficult time and she missed him so much.

We do have a 14 year old blind black lab, Dukie, and even though Dukie has always been part of the “pack” Nikki has drawn even more to him. Of course, Dukie can’t play and run and chase and do all those fun things.

Here is a picture of my Nikki and Dukie, sucking up together. How lovely is that?

The cage is for a new 3 year old female black lab we adopted from the humane society. She is being integrated with the other two.

She is gentle with me and my husband ( who has advanced MS), but she has a few issues with Dukie that I need to address.
