Smell The Grass - Not The Cement

I was walking my Golden, Nikki, through the park. And I suddenly realized how “suburbanized” many of our dogs have become.
By the way, learn how to walk and take off the pounds at the same time. Both you and your dog can get healthy together!
She automatically walks on the “cement path” instead of on the grass surrounding that path. So I always walk as far away from the path on the grass as I can. I want my dog to be able to enjoy the “natural” walk. Back to her roots.
The more leaves and off the beaten path I can find I take. Even in the city parks, you can walk your dog on the green.
It’s amazing how many people (almost all) that I see walking their dog in nature. They think they are being really good to walk their dogs in the park. But, they all walk along the path.
People…your dog can’t smell the roses on cement. Your dog can’t smell the grass, feel the grass beneath his paws.
So, when you walk your dog in a park…GO AND WALK ON THE GRASS, NOT BESIDE IT
Just a though for all of us dog lovers!
