Keep Us Safe This Holiday Season

Inspired by Adam’s Newsletter http://301url.com/AdamsDogTrainingMain

KEEP US SAFE AND HAPPY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON BY FOLLOWING THESE SEVEN SIMPLE RULES:

Rule #1: Chocolate is for you, don’t give us any, it is poison for me.

Rule #2: Dog food is for us and people food is for you. If you give us cookies, candy, turkey or other holiday foods, it can cause stomach upset, allergies or in some cases– death. A quality dog food will meet all of your dog’s dietary needs. Check out this quality premium dog food:

Rule #3: Keep a training collar and leash on us. Using the holidays as a training opportunity is a good way to teach us that we must behave, regardless of distractions. And, in emergencies, you can just grab hold of me and keep me safe.

Rule #4: We do NOT need expensive gifts to have a happy holiday. Let’s face it–we’re talking about an animal that derives pleasure from eating cat poop and rolling in dead fish. You don’t need to spend $80 on a doggie sweater for us, when a rawhide bone covered with peanut butter will bring us hours of delight. And, the best gift for us: Take us on a long walk after that big Christmas Dinner of yours.

Rule #5: Confine us to a safe place when you cannot watch us. We are “den animals.” We get a sense of security and well being when confined to a small, enclosed area. Think of a kennel in the same way you’d think of a baby’s play pen or crib: If I am still young, or if we are not old enough (or responsible enough) to be left unsupervised– then put me in a safe and secure place.

Rule #6: Keep all trash containers safely closed or behind a cabinet door so that we cannot get into them.

Rule #7: We are social pack animals. Include us in family holiday activities and we will be a cherished part of your family.

Enjoy and love us,
